When Jasmine Paolini plays at the WTA Finals: background with Aryna Sabalenka

Jasmine Paolini is preparing for her debut in the WTA Finals in Riyadh. The world number 8, listed in the Group ‘Stefanie Graf’ with Aryna Sabalenka, seeded leader, Coco Gauff, third seed, and Jessica Pegula, fifth seed, will make her debut with the world number one.
The match between the Blue and the Belarusian is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 2, no earlier than 3 p.m. Italian time (5 p.m. local time) on the indoor concrete center court of the King Saud University Indoor Arena.
There are seven previous meetings between Jasmine and Aryna with the latter holding a 5-2 advantage: the most recent was in the semifinals of the WTA 500 in Stuttgart with the Belarusian winning in two sets. In 2025 the world number one also won in the semifinals of the WTA 1000 in Miami.
The two also faced each other in the last edition of the WTA Finals with Sabalenka winning in two sets, who also beat the Azure in the round of 16 of the WTA 1000 in Beijing 2023 and the first round of the WTA 500 in Linz 2020. Paolini won only in the second round of the WTA 1000 Indian Wells 2022 and the first round of the ITF Ilkley in 2017.
