Jannik Sinner sheds light on his physical condition

Jannik Sinner spoke warmly after his 7-5 6-1 victory over Francisco Cerundolo: “He is a very good player and I did everything I could to complicate my life. In the first I twice went ahead by a break but then I couldn”t confirm them and put myself in a situation that was not easy”.
“I am happy with how I finished the match though, I felt much better. It is something that gives me confidence ahead of tomorrow’s game. Every game is difficult, today however was a good performance”.
“At the physical level we are trying to manage the situation: I am not so fresh, we will see. Today was not a very physical match, I am happy that we won in two sets and closed it in less than an hour and a half. Now we need to rest ahead of tomorrow”.
