Through an official statement, Ducati has announced Marc Marquez’s replacement for the last two Grands Prix of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. “At the Portuguese GP, which takes place next week in Portimao (Nov. 7-9), Nicolò Bulega will make his MotoGP debut with the Ducati Lenovo Team– it reads -The Team Aruba.it-Racing Ducati rider, World Supersport Champion in 2023, vice World Champion among factory derivatives in 24/25 and tester for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer in MotoGP, will replace Marc Márquez, in the last two rounds of the season”.

“I am very happy to be able to end a season like this with a nice last-minute surprise– said the vice World Superbike champion.”

Making his debut in MotoGP is the dream of any child who aspires to become a rider. Plus being able to ride for the last two race weekends of 2025 on the World Champion bike makes it even more exciting.

“It will be a good bet – added Bulega -, I have no expectations, I will take this experience with all the necessary calmness also because, for now, I could only try the Desmosedici GP in Jerez at the test. That said, the motivation to do well and give my best in any case is not lacking. Thanks to Ducati and Ducati Corse for the trust, to Claudio, Gigi, Mauro, Davide, Stefano and Serafino for making me feel all their support in embarking on this adventure, and to Team Aruba.it Racing-Ducati with whom we closed a season as protagonists”.

“I am very happy to be able to see Nicolò at work on the Desmosedici GP – the words of Gigi Dall’Igna -. Nicolò has been part of the Ducati Corse family since 2022 when we wanted him to ride in Supersport. We believed in him and he repaid us with two seasons as an absolute protagonist in Superbike where he came close to the title and became our reference rider. In addition, for next year we have announced his commitment, together with Michele Pirro, to the development of the Desmosedici GP with the new tires and the chance to race so in the last two GPs is the best way to start working in this new role as tester. It will definitely be challenging, but I hope he will be able to enjoy this experience: for a young rider, making his debut in the top category of our sport is a great satisfaction”.
