La Liga 2025-2026: Real Madrid-Valencia, the probable formations

Author so far of a path bordering on perfection (27 points in ten days, the only loss being the one in the derby against Atletico’Atletico), Real Madrid is aiming to continue its run against a Valencia that, on the contrary, has a decidedly low points average, just 9 that are worth the third-last place along with Levante, Mallorca and Real Sociedad. The two teams will meet Saturday at 9 p.m., both wearing mourning on their arms to remember José Manuel Ochotorena, who died a few days ago at the age of 64.
As for matters on the field, Merengues coach Xabi Alonso has, as often happens, an embarrassment of riches, especially on the offensive side: in the Basque coach’s 4-3-1-2 there should be room for Vinicius Jr despite the controversy of recent days, with the Brazilian ready to pair with Mbappé in front of Bellingham deployed as a trequartista.
On the other side, Valencia’s bench guide Carlos Corberan will try to take advantage of the enthusiasm that came after the 5-0 thrashing in the King’s Cup at Maracena to try to return to a league success that has been missing since Sept. 20 (2-0 to Athletic Bilbao). Hugo Duro, a footballer on the notebooks of several European clubs among which there’s Roma, will be in attack with Danjuma, in a 4-4-2 that will feature Rioja and Diego Lopez as the outside midfielders.
Probable lineups
REAL MADRID (4-3-1-2): Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Militao, Carreras; Güler, Camavinga, Tchouameni; Bellingham; Vinicius Jr., Mbappé. All. Xabi Alonso.
