Jannik Sinner, words of a true champion towards Alexander Zverev

Even though he dominated the semifinals of the Paris Masters 1000, Jannik Sinner before rejoicing chose to honor Alexander Zverev’s performance with important words spoken at the end of the match at the microphones of the tournament organizers. The South Tyrolean, by overcoming the world number 3, qualified for the final where he will face Felix Auger-Aliassime.
“I am happy about qualifying for the final but it was clear that Zverev was not at 100 percent after yesterday–s difficult match, said Sinner referring to the two-and-a-half-hour marathon that saw the German prevail over Medvedev.”
You play at a very intense pace, recovering is complex. I hope he can be back in top form for the Finals, he is a great player”.
Sinner also spoke about the opponent that stands between him and a return to the top of the ATP rankings, Felix Auger-Aliassime: “He has made great progress in the last few months– explained the champion from Sesto Pusteria. “It will be a good final, I am sure: he is a nice person and a very good tennis player, of course I will give everything to beat him”.
The one against the Canadian will be the fifth direct clash on the major circuit: the balance is two wins each, with Sinner winning the last two previous (Cincinnati and US Open 2025) and Auger-Aliassime prevailing in the first two (Madrid and Cincinnati 2022). In between, in 2024 in Madrid, also a match that was initially scheduled and then not played, due to forfeit of the South Tyrolean.
