Fabio Felline with a long post on Instagram announced his farewell to cycling: “With a mix of emotions I want to start from afar, from that last victory in 2020. I did not know it then, but I was writing the last pages of a beautiful chapter of my life”.

“Today, however, I know that chapter is really closing. November 1 used to be my Fellinata day – the farewell party to the next season. But 2026 will not have a runner” season.

“As many know, I had already said goodbye to racing last year. Then nostalgia, the kind that only those who have experienced certain emotions can understand, prompted me to return. I put the number back on my back, thanks to the team that had launched me into professionalism back in 2009.
This year that same team has laid the foundation to grow again, and to be able to contribute to this project – alongside young guys full of enthusiasm and dreams – has been a privilege. I tried to pass on something of my cycling to them, and in doing so, they also taught me something valuable”.

“But along the way something in this project changed. And so, with serenity and gratitude towards cycling, today I put the word “end” to the chapter of the Fabio rider”.

“I experienced cycling in its fullness, in every nuance: from the boy who waited for first team clothes in a parking lot, to the professional who found himself racing side by side with the champions he watched on TV until just before… and even beating them, what satisfaction!!”.

“Over the years I have won 14 times, stood on the podium about 30 times, and hit the top 10 a hundred times. But the real numbers I carry with me are others: the people I have met, the challenges I have shared, the friendships born on the road. And the knowledge that this sport is, yes, a school of life. Cycling has truly given me so much. And although from today I will no longer be a racer, I know that the world of cycling will always be a part of me – in other forms, with new projects, but with the same passion as always. The story otherwise continues”.
