On the sidelines of Tuesday’s Champions League match between Napoli and the’Eintracht Frankfurt, the sporting director of the partenopean club, Giovanni Manna, spoke at the microphones of Sky Sport to talk, among other things, also about the market, especially in light of the many injuries that have affected the team coached by Antonio Conte, such as the very recent one of Kevin De Bruyne.

“Starting from the balance of what we have done so far, I would say that we have worked well – said Manna -. Clearly, the new ones manage to integrate better if the results are positive, but to last year&#8217s team, already strong because it won the Scudetto and took Napoli back to the Champions League, we have added many alternatives”.

In the run-up to January, however, things could change further, as the same Ds confirmed: “Injuries are creating problems for us, De Bruyne’s is penalizing. We are already looking around and at the right time we will be ready to intervene. With a little bit’ of patience we can improve further”.

At the moment, however, no name in particular: “Among our goals we had that of lengthening the bench, given the many commitments in Italy and Europe– explained Manna, who arrived in Naples at the end of the 2023-2024 season after his experience as sporting director of Juventus Next Gen -. As for the next market session, we are ready to reason about different goals”.
