Bologna, Vincenzo Italiano one step away from returning to the bench

The return to the bench of Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano, who was hospitalized last Oct. 20 at Sant’Orsola Hospital in Bologna and discharged a week later for pneumonia, is very close.

Advertising this in the press conference on the eve of the Europa League match between Bologna and Brann is deputy Daniel Niccolini: “Weather permitting, Vincenzo Italiano” will return to the bench tomorrow.

Italiano watched from the’hospital the last European challenge that saw the Rossoblù engaged in Bucharest (2-1 win) and the one with Fiorentina and followed the team from the locker room against Torino and Parma.

This morning he took off his protective mask, spoke to the team and then watched the team’practice from the sidelines, while the deputy directed on the field.
