NBA: Doncic better than Wembanyama, OKC loses first game

Many NBA contests played on the night. Deprived of James and Reaves, the LA Lakers managed to overcome San Antonio (118-112). Absolute protagonist of the yellow-violet victory was Doncic, author of an impressive 35 points, topped by 13 assists. He won the personal duel with Wembanyama, who stopped at 19 points. For the LA Lakers, the record is getting more interesting: 7-2.
The real news comes from Portland where OKC is defeated, for the first time, in the regular season. The defending NBA champions surrender 121-119. The usual scintillating performance of Gilgeous-Alexander was not enough. The’MVP of the’last NBA season closed, however, with 35 points on the scoreboard. On the’other side, Avdija (26 points) shines. The Thunder’s record now stands at eight wins and one loss.
Good success for Houston, which swept Memphis (124-109) despite a Durant of only 11 points (5/18 shooting). Golden State falls again, also beaten by Sacramento (121-116). It should be highlighted that, among the Warriors’ ranks, there were not many bigs, especially Curry.
Thanks to a triple double by Jokic (33 points, 16 assists and 15 rebounds), Denver prevailed in the challenge with Miami: 122-112. Fontecchio plays 16 minutes but scores only five points. Victories also for Boston and New York, with Washington and Minnesota, respectively. Nice win also for Cleveland, which, with 46 points from Mitchell, knocked out Philadelphia (132-121).
