ATP 250 Metz, Matteo Berrettini out in quarterfinals

Matteo Berrettini was remounted and beaten with the score of 5-7 6-2 6-3 in one hour and 44 minutes of play by world number 38, the American Learner Tien, in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 on the indoor concrete of Metz.
No break point until 5-5 in the first set when the Roman, currently number 63 in the ATP rankings, snatched the serve from Tien and soon after closed out the partial by holding serve at 15.
The breaks in the second set were two, both in favor of the American, in the second and eighth games of the partial. Finally Berrettini, after missing a break point at 1-1 in the third set, lost the decisive serve in the fourth game and had no more chances to recover.
