For Ivan Juric, there are better dates than Nov. 10

Evidently there are better dates for Ivan Juric. November 10 seems to bring bad luck for the Croatian because another exoneration has arrived: Atalanta has decided to relieve him of his duties and put Raffaele Palladino in charge.

Curiously, on the same day a year ago he was dismissed from Roma after a brief and disappointing spell on the bench. Taking over from Daniele De Rossi, Juric had racked up four defeats in eight games, later being replaced by Claudio Ranieri.

In just over a year, Juric coached three teams. His experience at Southampton between December and April was also lackluster: only one draw and a staggering 12 defeats in 14 matches, one of the worst balances in Premier League history.

The club’s first season at Southampton was a very successful one.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s dauphin – now at Roma – had started his coaching career in Genoa’s Primavera team (where the first team was recently entrusted to De Rossi), at Verona he experienced the most positive period, staying three seasons and giving beautiful play and valuable results.

Next, at Torino, the Slav signed a three-year contract, but the relationship ended with a consensual termination. From there on, only negative adventures with Roma, Southampton and Atalanta.
