When Lorenzo Musetti plays at the ATP Finals: background with Alex De Minaur

Tomorrow Lorenzo Musetti, who lost 6-3 6-4 to Taylor Fritz today, will play his second match in the elimination round named after Jimmy Connors of the ATP Finals in Turin against world number 7, Australian Alex De Minaur.
The match will begin no earlier than 8:30 p.m. on the indoor concrete of the Inalpi Arena, where the last tournament of 2025 is being held and which gathers the best 8 players of the year. Musetti is No. 9 but is known to have taken over from Novak Djokovic.
The precedents favor the 23-year-old from Carrara, who has won three out of four. The only one won by the Aussie tennis player was the first, in the first round of the 2022 Australian Open, 3-6 6-3 6-0 6-3. In 2024 Musetti won in the round of 16 on Queens’ grass by 1-6 6-4 6-2.
This year then Lorenzo got the better of De Minaur in two matches on clay: 1-6 6-4 7-6 in the semifinals of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 and 6-4 6-2 in the round of 16 of the Madrid Masters 1000.
