Marc Marquez-Valentino Rossi, endless frost: Catalan recoils

The 2025 MotoGp season, among other things, was that of Marc Marquez’s hooking up with Valentino Rossi on the all-time list of World Championships won: that’s nine each, including seven in the premier class. Their relationship, however, has remained frosty since 2015 and Marquez himself, speaking to Spanish broadcaster Cadena Ser’s podcast ‘El Larguero’ does not see how the situation can be smoothed out.
“Everyone has their own perception of the facts, there’are those who see white and those who see black– explained the 2025 World Champion -. I don’t think he is afraid that I will win the 10th world championship, but in all sincerity I don’t care what he thinks. As far as I’m concerned, I also don’t care to make these comparisons but I know that this kind of narrative is part of the game”.
“We no longer met alone, sometimes we crossed paths at the circuit, like in Austria, but nothing more. I can’t lie, I don’t think we will come to a cordial goodbye: in the end everyone goes his own way, he doesn’t need me and I don’t need him. Motorcycling, however, needs both of us” Marquez added.
No doubt, finally, about the 2015 Malaysian GP, which definitively distanced the two riders from each other: “I’ve already said it and I repeat it, there are those who see white and those who see black. I don’t want to add anything else: we have all seen and seen those images, more than a thousand times” concluded the 1993-class driver, going back to what happened ten years ago.
