Roma market, for the attack a former Bologna player is back in fashion

Roma is, at the moment, blunt in attack. Gian Piero Gasperini is experimenting with all kinds of possible solutions to make the Giallorossi’s offensive department top-notch but with less than excellent results.

The injury suffered by Artem Dovbyk (out for about 4/6 weeks due to a hamstring injury) has made the situation at Roma even more complicated. We need a striker who will score goals and drag the rest of his teammates along. Someone who can do what the Giallorossi coach is asking of his current strikers.

Among the many names mentioned to the Giallorossi there would be also that of Joshua Zirkzee. Followed, in the recent past, also by other Serie A clubs (first and foremost Juventus), the former Bologna forward could be the solution to all the ills of the Giallorossi formation.

His adventure at Manchester United continues to be uphill. The start of the new season is, for the moment, disappointing. The Dutch center forward is not making an impact and continues to be considered, by Manchester United fans, not up to the Red Devils’ jersey. In January, Roma could also step up and try to bring him back to Italy. In the 2023/24 season, at Bologna, he netted 12 goals. At Roma, he could find himself.
