Even Venice has never forgotten the unfortunate Valeria Solesin, among the victims of a jihadist terrorist assault carried out in Paris. Today marks the 10th anniversary of that terrible tragedy.

“Ten years ago, on November 13, 2015, the Bataclan tragedy took Valeria Solesin from us. Today her memory remains alive in the memory of the entire city. The Distinti Sector of the Penzo that bears her name is not only a sign, but a way to feel her close, every time Venezia takes the field in front of its people” writes the lagoon club.

“During the upcoming home match between Venezia FC and Mantova, the Penzo will unite in remembrance of Valeria, to continue to cherish her precious memory together” the touching note reads further.

There were more than 130 dead and 350 injured on that dreadful evening.Valeria Solesin, a Venetian researcher, was only 28 years old.

“We remember each of those lives cut short that night. Families whose stories were brutally cut short. Broken futures for so many young people who were simply enjoying a moment with friends. We stand with France, its people and those who are still experiencing this unimaginable pain and loss” the message from the president of the European Parliament, Maltese Roberta Metsola
