Under 21, Pisilli not enough: Azzurrini overturned in Poland

L’Italy Under 21 lost the match at home to Poland valid for the qualifying round of the European Championship.

After Pisilli (61′), Baldini’s boys were overturned in the final by Bogacz (83′) and Kuziemka (86′;) by the hosts who thus consolidated first place in Group E. In the final, also worth mentioning is the expulsion of Koleosho, who will miss the challenge to Montenegro third in the standings.

There were 5,643,000 viewers who followed the Azzurri’s 2-0 victory over Moldova, the result of goals in the final by Gianluca Mancini and Francesco Pio Esposito.

The match played at the ‘Zimbru Stadium’ in Chisinau, broadcast live on Rai 1, registered a 26.7 percent share, making it the most-watched program of last night’s prime time. Sunday night (8:45 p.m.) the first Rai network will also air the challenge between the national team and Haaland’s Norway, the last match in the World Cup qualifying round as well as Italy’s last engagement in 2025.
