“After three consecutive away matches we finally return to play in front of our fans, who in the only previous match of the season with Padova had given us really beautiful emotions and great support” said coach Marcelo Mendez.

“We obviously want to relive that wonderful atmosphere right away – added the Gialloblù coach – but in order to actually deserve it we will have to play a good game and put great determination on the court from the start because the opponent on duty, Monza, is a team with precise characteristics and that can count on excellent players who can put us in trouble. It will be important to start off on the right foot, but also to give continuity to our performance, trying to keep up the quality in all the fundamentals”.

The Itas Trentino coach will have to do without only Lavia, replaced on the roster once again by baby Giani. Sunday’s match will be the 505th home game in the history of Trentino Volleyball referring to the men’s division, the 620th in the regular season, where so far it has captured 443 victories. The BTS Arena’s unbeaten streak lasts 383 days; the’last defeat dates back to Oct. 27, 2024 (1-3 with Perugia).
