Although it was worth the arithmetic conquest of the third place in the MotoGp World Championship 2025, the fifth place in the Valencia Sprint Race does not satisfy Marco Bezzecchi at all, especially since it came after the pole start. At the microphones of Sky Sport, the Aprilia centaur explained what prevented him from competing for success, while still renewing his confidence for Sunday’s race.

“I couldn&#8217t unhook the lowerer, although this problem specifically didn&#8217t bother me too much, so much so that I was trying to pass Alex Marquez– said ‘Bez’ -. Immediately after that, however, there’s something wrong during the’acceleration: it happened to me at least other times further on, for example when I passed Quartararo and then he passed me back”.

“Once everything was back to normal, it was too late to recover – Bezzecchi later said -I am sure the guys in the box are already working now to understand what’happened and prevent the same situation from happening again tomorrow. However, I am happy with the third position in the World Championship, we hope to make up for it in the race tomorrow and celebrate properly”.

With fifth place in the Sprint Race, Marco Bezzecchi moved up to 328 points in the standings, compared to Pedro Acosta’s 294 and Pecco Bagnaia’s 288. This means that neither the KTM Spaniard nor the three-time Ducati world champion will be able to catch him, as victory in the long race is worth 25 points.
