Poor Italy, only Ryerson with his hair does worse

No one expected Italy to beat Norway by a nine-goal margin at the Meazza, thus clinching the ticket to North America, where the world championships will be played in 2026 between Canada, Mexico and the United States.
More than one, however, expected that at least an injection of confidence could come from the match with the Scandinavians already in fact certain of a return to the elite of planetary soccer from which they were far from even since 1998, when the rainbow review was staged in France (and we beat them 1-0, with a goal by Christian Vieri).
Instead, after taking the lead through Pio Esposito, Gattuso’s men took four (two, just for good measure, were scored by Erling Haaland): worse than Donnarumma and co. only Julian Ryerson, for his hairstyle. A little bit’ not much to be concerned about in the playoffs…
