A statue for Jannik Sinner: Sesto Pusteria is already thinking about it

The sporting exploits of Jannik Sinner, in addition to making his many supporters happy, are increasingly a source of pride for the town of Sesto Pusteria, where the ATP Finals champion-confirmed star grew up with his family. And it is precisely the mayor of the town in the province of Bolzano, Thomas Summerer, who has not ruled out the possibility of paying tribute to him with a statue dedicated to him, as has happened, around the world, with champions of the caliber of Michael Jordan or Diego Armando Maradona.
“In Sesto, we have activated big screens in the sports area, where Jannik started playing, and in the center of the town– Summerer said during his speech on the program ‘Un giorno da pecora’ on Rai Radio1 -. After the game we celebrated a lot, so much so that some people went home at dawn’dawn”.
“Dedicating a statue to him would definitely be a nice idea – explained the first citizen of Sexten Pusteria, responding to a specific question on the statue’topic.”
The ideal place would be the sports center, given the character’s stature. It would be a way to further reiterate how proud we are of our great champion”.
A mountain town of about 1,800 inhabitants, part of the Val Pusteria ski area in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Sesto was also home to other big names in sports, such as mountaineers Michael and Sepp Innerkofler and alpine skier Patrick Holzer, who won two World Cup races and one European Cup in the 1990s.
