Roma wants to add a striker to its current roster next January. The current offensive department does not completely satisfy Gasperini, who reportedly asked the club to intervene during the winter market.

The’number one target would be Zirkzee. The Dutch striker is on the sidelines at Manchester United and, if he does not want to risk not being called up for the upcoming World Cup, he needs to find a team where he can play with continuity and return to make a difference, as was the case at Bologna.

Roma could guarantee him a starting shirt and a central role in attack but there would not be only the Giallorossi on the tracks of the’former Bologna forward. In addition to AC Milan, watch out for two Premier League clubs intent on coming forward in a big way.

West Ham has reportedly set its sights on Zirkzee and, bolstered by significant funds, could close the deal quickly. The’other Premier League club interested would be Brighton, which, so far, is having an excellent championship. In short, Zirkzee’s return to Serie A does not seem so obvious. The Premier League could still be his future. He will definitely not stay at Manchester United.
