The Six Nations and The Nations Championship on Sky Sports in 2026

Sky Sport announces another relevant news in rugby: in fact, the sports house acquires the exclusive broadcasting rights to two major tournaments of the oval ball for 2026: the Guinness Men’s Six Nations and the Nations Championship.

The 2026 edition of the Guinness Men’s Six Nations, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the world rugby scene, will begin on the weekend of February 5-7.

The first day will kick off the 132nd edition, with Italy competing for the 27th consecutive year along with England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and France. The conclusion of the 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, March 14. Also coming up are the Guinness Men’s U20 Six Nations and the Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

Starting in the summer of 2026, then, appointment with the Nations Championship, the new competition that will merge the traditional summer and autumn Test matches and will see the participation of the 6 teams from the Guinness Men’s Six Nations, the 4 from The Rugby Championships (Argentina, Australia New Zealand and South Africa), Japan and Fiji. The first 3 Rounds will take place between July 4 and July 18, 2026 (with Italy facing Japan, New Zealand and Australia), Rounds 4-6 from November 6-21, 2026 (with Italy facing South Africa, Argentina and Fiji), and the Final Weekend on November 27-28-29, 2026.
