Boris Becker, bad joke on Jannik Sinner

The’former tennis champion Boris Becker in an interview with Verissimo also spoke about Jannik Sinner, reserving an ironic joke for him: “In fact Jannik is my ideal heir… There are similarities between him and me. We both have red hair and very fair skin” he joked.

“In addition, I have now seen that he also likes beautiful women, so another thing we have in common”, Becker said wryly, referring to Danish model Laila Hasanovic, the South Tyrolean star’s new partner.

Becker explained that tennis saved him in difficult times: “Today I work as a commentator. I have to thank the tennis community: after prison it took me in and gave me the opportunity to continue to be part of this world”.

In a recent interview Becker also spoke about Novak Djokovic: “Who are we to tell Novak when he should retire? I heard the other day that he wants to play in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Let him do that. We need him. Anyone who has played against Novak Djokovic has lost a lot of money in the last 20 years. So I would never bet against Novak”.
