A stunning Matteo Berrettini overcame Pablo Carreño Busta in the first singles match of the Davis Cup final between Italy and Spain. The Roman tennis player won by the scores of 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 19 minutes of play, in front of the Bologna audience, which was thrilled by the Azzurro’s performance.

Berrettini thus gave the first point to Italy, now awaiting the second singles match with Flavio Cobolli who will take on Jaume Munar: the Azzurri need another win to win their third consecutive Davis Cup.
