The fifth day of the Champions League championship stage will bring Galatasaray and Union Saint-Gilloise face to face on Tuesday at a key moment for both. The Turks, on the strength of their nine points, see direct access to the round of 16 within reach.

The Belgians, although coming off a more complicated run, remain clinging to the idea of returning to the playoff zone. The challenge is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

Galatasaray comes to the fixture with three wins in the first four matches and the only defeat that has not dented its run. An external blow at Ajax’s field has given further momentum to the Giallorossi, now very close to the top eight positions that open the door to the knockout stage.

Union, on the other hand, failed to pull off the feat in Madrid, where Simeone’s Atletico imposed their own law. With only one success so far, the Belgian club flies to Istanbul with the goal of reviving itself and trying to get back into the bracket that is worth the playoffs, aiming for 24th place.

The Belgian club is now in the top ten.
