The first success of Raffaele Palladino on the bench of Atalanta arrives in the Champions League, after the flop of the Maradona on Saturday night: the Dea, with a trio of goals scored in the space of just five minutes in the middle of the second half, expels the field of Eintracht Frankfurt, winning 3-0. In contrast, Inter lost 2-1 with a goal in full recovery, mocked by Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano.

Atalanta, which already in the first half hit two poles within a minute (Lookman at 35′ Scamacca at 36′), broke through at 60′ De Ketelaere’s cross to Lookman, the Nigerian national team’s striker scores to make it 1-0. Two minutes later the double: lethal restart of the Nerazzurri, Lookman this time in assist version serves Ederson, who in front of Zetterer does not miss. The 3-0 came at 65′: cross by Zappacosta for Scamacca, ball on the crossbar and winning tap-in by De Ketelaere that closed, in fact, the accounts. The’last phase of the match is pure academy, Atalanta returns with three more points from Germany.

In contrast, Inter started badly at the home of Diego Simeone&#8217s Atletico Madrid: after 9 minutes, in fact, it was already 1-0 to the Colchoneros, with Alvarez taking advantage of a favorable rebound in the clash with Carlos Augusto and coldly killing Sommer. Doubts about a touch of hands by Alex Baena, but even after verification in the VAR room the goal remains valid. The resumption begins with Barella’s crossbar at 47′: it is the prelude to the equalizing goal, signed by Zielinski at minute 54′, with an angled conclusion on Bonny’s assist. The match seemed to sail toward even but Jose Maria Gimenez, with a perfect header from a corner kicked by Griezmann, left Sommer no chance and signed the goal that sealed the Beneamata’s first knockout in this Champions League.

L’Atalanta thus rises to 10 points, hooking the last teams in the zone that promotes directly to the round of 16, while remaining out of it, at least for now, due to goal difference (+1 against the +6 of Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Sporting and the +5 of Manchester City). Inter, on the other hand, is no longer on full points (only Arsenal has won all its matches so far) but still remains in the group of 12-point teams in fourth place, tied with second.
