Napoli market, for January two names on everyone’s mind

Napoli, left orphaned by De Bruyne and Zambo-Anguissa due to injury, wants to replenish its midfield with top-level signings as early as this winter soccer market session.
Among the names on D.S. Manna’s notebook are those of German Leon Goretzka, Bayern Munich’s class ’95 midfield all-rounder, and Davide Frattesi, Inter’s midfielder on the Italian national team’s roster.
As for the German, his contract expires next June and there are no contacts for a renewal; this could push the Bavarian team, faced with a good offer, to get rid of the player so as not to lose him at zero. The biggest stumbling block would be the 18 million gross salary the player receives.
For Davide Frattesi, the situation is different: The player for some time now has been expressing discontent with the little space given, even this season with Chivu on the bench, and the trend does not seem to have changed given also the’abundance of men in the department. The demand from the Nerazzurri club, however, is high. While waiting to see how the Parthenopean team will move, there now seems to be no doubt: a midfielder is bound to arrive.
