He made the choice that needed to be made, without worrying about his record streak. LeBron James won yet another contest of his endless career, at the expense of a record that lasted 1297 games. In that of Toronto, something special happened. In the final action, the decisive one, LBJ, at the time with eight points, could have attempted the victory shot and save his incredible streak of games with at least 10 points on the scoreboard, but instead he preferred to do something else: that is, to pass the ball to Rui Hachimura who, at the expiration of time, threaded the triple of success (123-120).

…and "King James" still seems to be having a lot of fun

A success that LeBron James celebrated with gusto almost didn’t care that he ended his incredible ride at a quota of 1297 games: “What do I think of the streak? Nothing. Playing the game the right way. You always have to make the right play. That’s my modus operandi. That is how I was taught the game. I&#8217ve been doing it my whole career” King James&#8221s words reported by ESPN. In short, what matters is the team, the victory, certainly not one’s personal records. Perhaps that is also why LeBron James has become what he is.

James’ winning streak began on January 6, 2007. It was by far the longest in the history of the NBA.Michael Jordan totaled 866 consecutive games with, on the score sheet, at least 10 points per contest, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar stopped at 787 while Karl Malone belongs to the fourth record with 575 consecutive games in double figures. Thanks to his unselfishness, the LA Lakers brought home win number 16 of the season (compared to only five losses). Who knows, maybe LeBron James is realizing that by putting himself at the service of the team, he might even go all the way this season and raise to the sky, once again, the NBA ring, the only thing that really matters.
