Serie C, Group C: Catania-Crotone, the probable formations

Mimmo Toscano’s Catania, the leader of the C league, will take the field at 8:30 p.m. in Friday’s early match. Facing them will be Emilio Longo’s Crotone, one of the most solid and treacherous teams in the league. The challenge comes at a particular time for both, with Catania struggling with a long list of absences and Crotone looking for continuity after the success against Giugliano.
In the Rossazzurri’s house, the emergency shows no sign of abating. Toscano will have to do without Ierardi, Pieraccini, Cicerelli, Aloi, Chilafi and Martic. To them are added Donnarumma, stopped by the injury suffered at Picerno, and the disqualified Di Tacchio. The only positive note comes from the recovery of Raimo, available again after almost a month and a half in the pits.
The narrow victory over Giugliano has restored morale to the Pythagorean group, which is now looking for a prestigious result on the field of the leader. News from the infirmary is partly encouraging: Maggio and Zunno are back available after precautionary stops during the week. Berra was summoned but could be kept at rest. More serious, however, is the injury to Groppelli, who is struggling with a right adductor problem that will keep him out.
Probable lineups
