Jannik Sinner and Jasmine Paolini add another trophy to their trophy case

Jannik Sinner and Jasmine Paolini are the winners of the Best Tennis Player of the Year awards, in the men&#8217s and women&#8217s spheres, at the SuperTennis Awards. The recipients of the awards were announced on Friday, while the actual ceremony was postponed until a later date as a mark of respect for the passing a few days ago of Nicola Pietrangeli. In this way, the Federation wanted to celebrate the two Italian number ones in their respective rankings, who also put on a show in 2025, attracting the attention of fans. Not only Sinner and Paolini, however, will add a trophy to their trophy case.

Flavio Cobolli in fact won the award for the Impresa dell’Anno (in Davis Cup with the blue jersey), while Matteo Berrettini won the Lionheart award, also for his contribution in winning the third consecutive Salad Bowl. Lionhearted, on the other hand, is Sara Errani, who along with Paolini continues to excel in doubles, while Elisabetta Cocciaretto is the underdog slayer of the year thanks to her underdog successes that proved very important for the Azzurre’s victory in the Billie Jean King Cup. Teacher of the’Year is then Heribert Mayr, Jannik Sinner&#8217s first teacher: certainly a significant entry at the personal curricolum level.

Also awarded were Lorenzo Musetti as Most Improved Player, Jacomo Vasamì as Best Next Gen Player and Stefano Cobolli as Best Coach. As for other awards, Hegor Di Gioia won the one reserved for wheelchair tennis, Flavio Abbate and Giulia Dal Pozzo were named Best Player of the Year in padel, while Mattia Spoto is the Best Player in beach tennis. Amateur ranking athletes also received awards: Fabio Sciola won the award dedicated to tennis players, Valentina Guglielmi is the Best Player in pickleball and Marco La Brocca the best in padel. Also awarded was Matteo Dal Forno, champion of Italy’s e-sports tennis.

Posthumous award for Iano Monaco as best executive, while Emilio Mancuso won the Oddo Award dedicated to industry journalists. Finally, the Davis Cup Final 8 was recognized as the best tournament with Italian organization.
