In Madrid, there was no match. Sergio Scariolo’s Real prevailed over Olimpia Milano with a devastating 106-77. The red-and-whites held up in the first few minutes but by halftime the game was effectively decided.

“Congratulations to Real Madrid, they played an incredible game and right now they are undoubtedly the fittest team in the entire EuroLeague. I am very sorry we did not play a competitive game. We were coming from five overall wins in the last six games so I expected a better response. Instead we went on the court too flat: against such a fit and strong team you cannot afford it” said Peppe Poeta at the end of the match.

“We have a lot of things to work on and improve, but right now it only matters to forget this match and think about making a much better one on Thursday against Zalgiris in front of our people” added Ettore Messina’s successor.
