Blocking relegation and Roman team in Serie A: FIP, according to Corriere della Sera reports, would be considering this sensational hypothesis after Trapani’s disbarment.

After the ouster of the Sicilians, only one team would currently be relegated to A2. But “the hypothesis of blocking relegations is also circulating to allow FIP to invent a Roman team in A, with enlargement to 18 clubs” is what the Milan newspaper writes.

For some time the FIP has been thinking of establishing a Roman team in view of the NBA Europe project that is expected to take off in the 2027/2028 season, and the Federation would like to seize the ball.
