Monday will mark six years since the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, the NBA champion who has an unbreakable bond with the city of Reggio Emilia. To remember and pay tribute to him, Sunday’s game will be a real “Kobe Day,” with a charitable implication that may associate his memory with a gesture of solidarity.

In the foyer of the PalaBigi, in fact, it will be possible to purchase a special edition of one of the prints signed “The Reggianer,” dedicated to Kobe Bryant and available in two formats (40×30 and postcard).

The illustration will then also be available at the white-and-red stoRE in Prampolini Square starting Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Introducing the challenge with the Brianzoli was coach Dimitris Priftis, who said, “It will be an important match for both of us. Cantù is a team that never gives up, as evidenced by the fact that they lost the last few contests in the final possessions. The additions of Green and Chiozza have added scoring and playmaking, while the change of coach (Brienza has been replaced by De Raffaele, ed.) will have brought extra motivation from a psychological point of view. We will have to put the maximum level of energy and attention, we are certainly confident after getting unblocked even away from PalaBigi but for this very reason our guard should not be lowered. Tactically it will be a different game from the last two, especially under the basket where Cantù’s physicality is something to be taken into account”.
