Olimpia Milano, coach Poeta relies on prayers: "Light a candle"

L’Olimpia Milano, after three losses in a row in the Euroleague and the stop, in the league, in the derby with Varese, returned to success. At the’former Palalido, the’EA7 came out on top over Partizan Belgrade. An important victory to get back in the race for the play-in (a complicated goal) but one that cost Milan dearly. In the third quarter, Bolmaro injured his elbow and was forced off the court with the’help of medical personnel and never returned.
“Light a candle to Our Lady. A player too important for us, for defensive characteristics. The record with him and without him is very different. It could accelerate the market if it was something very serious, but they are in the wise hands of Baiesi” Coach Poeta’s words in the press conference. In short, everyone is crossing their fingers, hoping that the injury to the Argentine point guard is not serious enough to have to stop for a long time.
The feeling is that it could be a major injury, the’umpteenth in a decidedly unlucky season for the red-and-whites, who have always had the’very crowded infirmary and, recently, have also “lost” Brown (the point guard is out of the red-and-whites technical project and would be working on a consensual termination of the contract): “He is not part of our technical project, it is a decision taken in agreement with the company” the words of Poeta himself.
At this point, given the difficulties in the guard department, it is clear that if Olimpia ever goes back on the market it would be for a point guard. They need a man who can help out in the booth. Not easy to find right now.
First, however, they will try to see what Bolmaro’s real condition is like and see what the recovery time would be. Olimpia has so many challenges ahead of it. It needs a roster that is up to the task and Coach Poeta knows that perfectly well.
