The Mainz champion immediately slumped to the ground with his face contracted in pain and yelled to his bench to have the medical staff intervene. The referee immediately stopped the match to allow Hollerbach to be rescued, and doctors rushed onto the field to check on his condition.

After first aid was administered, the soccer player was carried off the field to the applause of the entire stadium. In his place came Silas Katompa Mvumpa. At the moment there are no updates regarding the injury and Mainz merely announced the trouble on X: “Well must be taken off the field. We keep our fingers crossed that it is nothing serious. Get well soon!”.
