Sassuolo’s trio, it gets very bad for Pisa

Great victory for Sassuolo against Pisa: the neroverdi triumphed with a convincing 3-1 win that means 10th place and hooking up with Udinese in the standings (pending the challenge between the Friulians and Roma scheduled for Monday). Domenico Berardi unlocked the match on 25′, then Caracciolo’s own goal allowed Fabio Grosso’s team to go to halftime up 2-0. In the second half, Aebischer shortened the gap but Koné at 58′ scored the final 3-1.
Until Berardi’s goal, Pisa tried hard to make itself dangerous but Gilardino’s forwards (today in the stands due to disqualification) sinned in precision and were punished by the neroverde number 10, making his return to the field from the first minute after his injury in November. Berardi himself propitiated Caracciolo’s goal with a tricky cross that found the clumsy deflection of the Pisa captain.
Gilardino’s team also started strong in the second half and managed to shorten the gap thanks to Aebischer, just over five minutes later, however, came Sassuolo’s tris thanks to Koné. Pisa’s final assault failed to have the effect hoped for by the Nerazzurri fans.
For Pisa, the situation in the standings is increasingly worrying: the team is last in the standings with 14 points won in the first 23 games and the specter of relegation is increasingly real.
