Who is Oscar Hiljemark, new coach of Pisa. And the Nerazzurri reinforce themselves with a former Juve man

Pisa has chosen Oscar Hiljemark. The Tuscans, last in the Serie A standings with Verona, are looking to turn their season around by targeting the young 33-year-old coach, who terminated his contract with Elfsborg to accept the Nerazzurri club&#8217s offer and jump at the chance to coach in Serie A at the beginning of his career. Pisa tried to convince Marco Giampaolo, but the’former Lecce coach said no to the Tuscans.

Oscar Hiljemark, a former Palermo and Genoa midfielder, played in Serie A from 2015 to 2019. He was coach of Elfsborg since 2024. The Pisa management had already thought of him in the summer. In his career he also wore the jerseys of PSV Eindhoven, Panathinaikos, Dinamo Moscow and Aalborg.

News also on the market front: Pisa has closed for Samuel Iling-Junior: the’former Juventus player is arriving on loan from Aston Villa.

The English outfielder, who grew up in the Juventus youth academy, played in the first half of the season on loan at West Bromwich, in the English second league.
