Fiorentina market, Giuseppe Commisso welcomes Fabio Paratici: "Added value"

Now it is official: Fabio Paratici is the new sporting director of Fiorentina. This was announced by the violet club itself through an official statement: “ACF Fiorentina is pleased to welcome the new sporting director Fabio Paratici, who as of today is officially operational at the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park”. The’former Juventus and Tottenham executive will be presented on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m.

“Fiorentina President Giuseppe B. Commisso, together with the Board of Directors – consisting of CEO Mark Stephan, general manager Alessandro Ferrari and Catherine Commisso – extend to him their best wishes for the start of this new professional experience” continues the note from the lily club, which scored more than one market coup in the winter window.

“I want to send a warm hug to Fabio Paratici, who from today joins the Fiorentina family – the words of President Giuseppe B. Commisso -. Born in 1972, a former midfielder for, among others, Piacenza, Fiorenzuola, Pavia, Novara, Palermo, Giugliano and Brindisi, Fabio Paratici began his career as sporting director, at the end of his career as a player, at Sampdoria, under the guidance of the then Blucerchiato general manager Beppe Marotta, whom he would also follow to Juventus. Paratici remained at the Bianconeri until 2021, to move to England. Following a sanction imposed by the Italian Football Federation and extended to foreign countries, the executive left Spurs in 2023, to return as in the summer of 2025.
