The winter soccer market session is now behind us but the Milan management is still working on this front, with an eye on planning related to the coming seasons and the hoped-for return to the European cups. The Diavolo, in this sense, is moving far in advance for Leon Goretzka, set to leave Bayern Munich when his contract expires next July 1. The Rossoneri have established contacts with the German midfielder’s agents and are assessing the feasibility of the’operation.

The negotiation is actually far from simple: Goretzka earns 13 million a year, a figure outside Milan&#8217s current parameters. To land on the Rossoneri side of the Naviglio, in short, a sharp cut in salary will be needed. Competition must also be assessed, and anticipated: Atletico Madrid has also shown interest in the player, while Manchester United considers him ideal to fill the void left by Casemiro. Top Turkish clubs are also in the running, particularly Besiktas and Fenerbahce.

At the same time, Milan is working on the renewals of its mainstays. Fikayo Tomori, regenerated by Allegri’s work, is reportedly already close to signing, while Rafael Leao, who beyond a few underwhelming performances has confirmed his centrality in the technical project, is convinced to continue in the Rossoneri. Positive situation also for Luka Modric: the Croatian star, at 41 years old, is very comfortable in Milan and enthusiastically considers the idea of staying another season, strong in the trust of the’environment and staff.

The Rossoneri management, with these operations, therefore wants to armor the core of the team and add experience without upsetting the accounts. The incoming renewals and the assault on Goretzka respond to a precise logic that speaks of technical continuity, quality on the field and economic sustainability, a factor that should not be underestimated in order to compete at the highest level.

The Rossoneri management, therefore, wants to strengthen the core of the team and add experience without underestimating the accounts.

The last market session brought few changes to the Rossoneri: the only entry, in fact, was that of Niclas Füllkrug, who arrived from West Ham on loan with the right of redemption at the end of the season, while on the disposals front there were the outgoing loans of youngsters Alphadjo Cissé to Catanzaro and Kevin Zeroli to Juve Stabia.
