Niang, nothing to do: season over

Mbaye Niang has ended the 2015/2016 football season.
That was the outcome of the visit made in Dutch soil by specialist Van Dijk after the car accident that happened to him in late February. No hope then for the former Montpellier and Genoa player to recover for the May 21 Coppa Italia final that Milan will play against Juventus.
This is the statement that appeared on the Rossoneri’s official website: “AC Milan announces that MBaye Niang underwent a specialist examination today in Amsterdam with Professor Niek Van Dijk, who determined that the capsular ligament lesion in his left ankle requires surgery. The surgery will be performed by Prof. Van Dijk himself next Friday.”
“Professor Van Dijk also performed a clinical and radiographic check on Rodrigo Ely. In the next two weeks the player will carry out a rehabilitation and athletic work program that will bring him back to gradual competitive recovery.”
