Parma doesn’t stop: here are the young and the "old"

Birthday for Daniele Faggiano. Parma’s sporting director turned 39, but he had no time to unwrap gifts. The market looms and the timetable indicated by the Crociati executive himself during the presentation of Scozzarella (“Another 4 or 5 players will arrive”) does not allow pauses for reflection.

Here then, in addition to the announced in preview and only to be ratified for Mezzolara’s young Galeotti, two more grafts on the launching pad. As anticipated, the return of 34-year-old Gianni Munari is in the pipeline: still nothing done for the termination with Cagliari, but there are no more doubts about the deal that will complete the midfield for the second half of the season, while waiting for the transfer of Miglietta.

But it doesn’t end here because, as announced by Faggiano himself, Melandri’s replacement will be an under. And what an under, since the choice has fallen on Simone Edera. The outside forward, who turned 20 just on January 9, arrives on loan from Torino, which in turn had brought him back to the base after a first part of the season with few appearances for Venezia.

Champion of Italy Primavera in 2015 with Toro coached by Moreno Longo, current coach of Pro Vercelli, Edera is the classic modern outside forward, fast and technical, ideal for the 4-3-3 that D’Aversa has in mind. A natural left-hander, his house highlight is starting from the right to center on his preferred foot.

The curious “chase” between the two powers of the B round is therefore confirmed, thinking of the fact that the Laguna players had in turn been interested in Munari, confirmed by the competition for the Pisan Eusepi.

If, however, Edera will not fill places on the roster, Munari’s arrival completes the slots in the Crociata squad for the time being. For the other strikes (another striker, a defender and perhaps a goalkeeper), it will be necessary to thin out: on the departure foot, in addition to Guazzo now destined for Modena, and Miglietta, there is also Maikol Benassi.
