Badelj could stay at Fiorentina

Milan Badelj has been at the center of numerous rumors during the last market sessions. Like the entire Fiorentina team, however, the Croatian is not performing at his best during this season.

In an interview with “Corriere dello Sport,” Badelj touched on various topics, starting precisely with the market: “I understand that people think or have thought certain things nor do I want to make excuses to justify a performance that has not always been brilliant. But I have thought about the market very few times. And anyway only last summer, for a few moments. With Fiorentina I still have a contract until 2018 and I’ve always said that I’m really comfortable here. So it is also not excluded that I will stay. Hopefully the club and my attorney will come to clarify.”

Then he tries to explain the team’s moment of difficulty: “We are a good formation, but not at the levels of Real or Barcelona. So all it takes is for some of us to slow down and we end up encountering some difficulties. Last year we started games already leading 1-0 and that gave you strength, conviction.”
