Spalletti: "You don’t know what’s going on here"

In the Roma household, the hot topic is the future of Luciano Spalletti.

The president of the Giallorossi club James Pallotta after the game won against Sassuolo shifted all the attention to the Tuscan coach (“I would like to keep Spalletti but he is the one who has to decide”) and the response of the former Udinese and Zenit coach was not long in coming.

“It depends on everyone, not only on me. They all say the same thing, Roma has everything to win and must win. My contract doesn’t count for anything, you know that, it has to be a stimulus, if you win good, if not out, it applies to me as it does to the players. The criticism of journalists? You don’t live here, you don’t know what’s going on.”

“I don’t resent journalists, but those I have in front of me in the conference almost every day. The perception you who are outside is different. It appears a different world from outside: Trigoria is a flower garden. People talk about an ugly environment, but this environment is beautiful. In my first Roman experience I still had two years left on my contract but the situation was untenable and I left. You do things time by time, always.”

“Did something happen with the press? If you give me your email I’ll send you the whole press review since the beginning of the year… Sometimes you have to respond, when you are accused of saying things you have to do it. Inter is doing this year what Roma did last year, but this team is never given credit. Even tonight was complicated, Di Francesco had prepared the match well, he even offered himself because he is a great coach and a true professional.”
