F1, Jacques Villeneuve doesn’t keep Ferrari quiet
Six wins in nine races for Max Verstappen
The Canadian Grand Prix ended with the sixth win of the season in nine races for reigning world champion Max Verstappen. It was a success that allowed him to widen the gap with Ferrarista Charles Leclerc in the championship even further.
For Jacques Villeneuve, there is one thing that certainly cannot reassure Ferrari: “Now Verstappen is far away. He never weakens and does not give in to pressure,” so the Canadian in his own column on formule1.nl, “plus he is still in the momentum phase compared to last year.
“The threat of an engine problem or a strategy error is always there anyway, even if it happened to Perez,” Villeneuve said after what happened in Montreal. “But it will happen again to Verstappen as well, that’s for sure. The season is still long.”
