Honda chaos without Marc Marquez: “Some heads will roll”
Former Honda ds Oscar Haro is confident: “Puig needs to pound his fists on the table.”
Former LCR Honda sporting director Oscar Haro in a live Twitch has predicted many changes in Honda after the first half of the World Championship totally to forget: “After this weekend’s fiasco… I think they will eventually pull out the scythe and cut off some heads. When a person like Alberto Puig comes in, who is in charge of HRC’s results, I think that’s what he has to do, bang his fists on the table,” are the words reported by Corsedimoto.
All riders apart from Marc Marquez (Pol Espargarò, Alex Marquez and Taaka Nakagami) are starting, but that won’t be enough: “I doubt the new guys will do much better than these guys. HRC doesn’t have a rider problem, I have to be honest, it’s a bike evolution problem. The other houses have taken three steps forward, the only one who makes Honda work is Mr. Marc Marquez.”
According to Haro, the Japanese must turn around in order to compete with Ducati, Aprilia and KTM: “With the Japanese, it’s not enough to ask for a longer, shorter or stiffer swingarm, everything requires a study process, the designer, the engineer, the test rider… If they want to be ahead they have to change: like in Formula 1 almost everything is produced in Europe.”
