Danilo Petrucci, tension and gestures in MotoAmerica: punished
Tense nerves between Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci and one of his rivals, Mathew Scholtz, in qualifying for the fifth round
Great tension in MotoAmerica for Danilo Petrucci. The Ducati centaur came into contact with rival Mathew Scholtz during starting practice at the end of qualifying for the fifth round of the American championship, underway at Ridge Motosport. The low-speed Ducatista bumped into Sholtz and risked a crash. Then turning around, he gestured at him, showing his middle finger. The rust between the two dates back to the third round of MotoAmerica, when they had come into contact in the race and the ternano had ended up on the ground.
Race management decided to punish the Italian rider for his behavior: Petrucci was demoted three positions on the grid for race 1, scheduled for tonight.
