Arturs Strautins, a Latvian basketball player with Pallacanestro Reggiana, injured his hip during a match between his national team and the Lithuanian team. This was confirmed by the very club cwith which Strautins is contractually bound, through an official note.
“The player will return to Reggio Emilia in the coming hours,” the Tricolor City club specified, “and his condition will be evaluated by the biancorosso medical staff to define the exact diagnosis and recovery time.
The news not only worries Reggiana fans and staff, but could affect market-related decisions by clubs that had expressed interest in Strautins in recent weeks, most notably Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna.
