Demetre Rivers returns to Italy

Demetre Rivers returns to play in Italian Serie A
After a season spent largely in Scafati and a parenthesis at Zalgiris Kaunas coached by Andrea trinchieri, Demetre Rivers will make the return ticket to Italy but this time he will stop in Brescia: Germani itself has in fact formalized the signing of the American basketball player, a 28-year-old small forward.
"Pallacanestro Brescia è pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Demetre Rivers – reads the note published by the white-and-blue club -, a 202 cm American forward, who last season divided his time between the experience with Givova Scafati (Serie A), scoring 10.3 points on average, and Zalgiris Kaunas (LKL), under the orders of coach Andrea Trinchieri".
Rivers, a product of Mercer University in the U.S. state of Georgia, tried out the G-League experience coming out of college, at the Maine Red Claws (now the Maine Celtics, affiliated with the NBA franchise of the same name in Boston), later deciding to make the jump to Europe, to KK Parnu in Finland in the 2018/19 season.
In the following years, Rivers wore the undershirts of Soproni KC, Kaposvar (both in Hungary), CEZ Nymburk (Czech Republic), PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece), Tuyap Buyukçekmece (Turkey), before experiences in Italy at Scafati and Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania, and a return to the Bel Paese for the upcoming season.
