The goalkeeper arrives in biancorosso from Cagliari on a one-year temporary basis, with an option right and obligation to buy him back when certain conditions are met.
Born in Fiesole (Fi) on June 28, 1994, he boasts 166 Serie A appearances, which have established him as one of the best Italian goalkeepers in recent years.
He made his professional debut with Brescia in the 2012-13 season. After two Serie B championships in Lombardy, he began his adventure with Cagliari in the summer of 2014. With the Sardinian club he immediately made his debut in Serie A at the age of 20, collecting 14 appearances.
Before returning permanently to Rossoblù, he was transferred on loan to Lanciano for six months and then to Benevento for the 2016-17 season, in which he won promotion to Serie A through the playoffs as a protagonist.
From the summer of 2017, he wore the Cagliari shirt for five seasons, collecting a total of 174 appearances in Rossoblù, which established him as one of the best Italian goalkeepers.
