The Mexican has just renewed with Red Bull for two seasons
During The Cambridge Union event, Horner addressed Perez’s future. The Mexican has, recently, renewed his contract with Red Bull. A two-year deal that, therefore, will see him at the helm of the Red Bull team until the end of the 2024 season.
However, according to the team principal of the Milton Keynes-based team, Perez may not have many more years in Formula 1 ahead of him: “Sergio is not getting any younger, he is now 32 years old and may have signed his last contract.” In short, an “invitation” to the Mexican to start thinking about something alternative to Red Bull. Fortunately for Perez, there is still a long way to go before the new deal is over.
